Volunteer with us

Our valued team of over 70 volunteers are an essential part of the care team at Moyne Health Services. Volunteers have many different skills and can choose to work with a particular program or provide support with a group or individual activities. We provide our volunteers with a supportive environment, orientation, learning and social opportunities.

Areas where volunteers are currently involved:

Residential Aged Care

Volunteers are involved in activity throughout Moyneyana House and Belfast House supporting both residents and staff.

Meals on Wheels

Volunteers are involved in the delivery of meals in the volunteer’s own car, to residents in their own homes.

Social and Group Activity Programs

Spend some time with clients doing activities, excursions, meals and social events such as music, dance, cooking, craft, skill development, friendship and most importantly fun.

Consumer Advisors

This volunteer advisor role contributes to improving and enhancing care via feedback and suggestions from a consumer perspective. The role ensures that issues and priorities are identified and addressed appropriately, and that our service maintains a strong and positive partnership with the wider community.

We have Consumer Advisors on the following Moyne Health Services Committees:

Transport

Volunteers take Moyne Health Services residents and clients in the organisations fleet buses. To drive one of our buses you do not require a specific bus licence, just a current Victorian Drivers Licence.

Pastoral visits

Representatives from church organisations visiting and conducting church services.

Administration

There are a variety of roles involved, including supporting programs with basic administration type tasks to one off project tasks.
