Graduate Nurse Program

Moyne Health Services offers opportunities to support new Registered Nurses in our Graduate Nurse Program, with two intakes per year, commencing in January 2024 and April 2024.

 

Applications for the 2024 program open on Monday 5 June 2023 (10am) and close on Friday 7th July, 2023 (5pm).

Documents (including Cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (with at least 2 clinical references), Academic Transcript and a minimum of 2 most recent placement reports) must be sent to Johanna Keane either in hard copy or via email (see details below)

 

Moyne Health Services – Port Fairy Graduate Nurse position

We provide a supportive environment to commence your nursing career and consolidate your skills.  We offer three graduate nurse positions at 0.8EFT. The program is 52 weeks duration, commencing in January 2024 and April 2024, with 5 weeks annual leave allocated.  This position rotates through our Acute Ward, Residential Aged Care (Nursing Home and Hostel) and has two specialty weeks in the District Nursing Service and Urgent Care.

We offer 5 study days per year which link in with South West Healthcare’s Graduate Nurse Program.

Applications are to be submitted through Graduate Nurse/ Midwifery Program (GNMP) Match Online Service by following the Graduate Nurse Computer Match links above.

 

Following registration through the computer match system, formal applications must also be forwarded to the Nurse Educator, Johanna Keane, including:

  • Cover Letter
  • Curriculum Vitae,
  • Two referees,
  • Academic Transcript
  • A minimum of two most recent clinical placement reports

Scholarships

The Hilary Hamilton Education Scholarship is available to a Moyne Health Services team member annually for professional development and education up to the value of $5,000.

Full and part-time employees with at least six months’ employment at Moyne Health Services are eligible to apply.

The scholarship is granted in December and may be shared among several applicants.

Education

Moyne Health Services is committed to the education of all its employees. In addition to comprehensive on-boarding and annual mandatory training, Moyne Health Services promotes and supports personal and professional development. Both clinical and non-clinical educators are available to advise employees on training and career pathways.
