Moyne Health Services gets top marks!
Patient care the hospital section of Moyne Health Services has received a big tick with the release of results from a state wide survey.
Moyne Health Services has received top marks in the Victorian Patient Satisfaction survey for a hospital the group D category.
A group D category hospital is one with between 500 and 1000 inpatients per year.
This category comprises 22 hospital, with Moyne Health Services’ score of 88.9 per cent placing it at the top of the list.
Moyne Health Services Information, Quality and Risk manager Belinda Westlake said the Department of Health appointed an independent body to undertake the survey. She said all patients at health facilities accross the state were asked to complete the survey to ascertain their leve of satisfaction with the service.
“The survey asks questions on things like the admission and discharge processes, the care provided while in the hospital and the patient follow-up,” she said.
“We had a return rate of responses from the survey of 41 per cent, which is consistent with the average across the state”.
Moyne Health Services has 15 acute beds, which this survey focused on. Moyne Health Services Chief Executive Officer David Lee said he was delighted with the results.
“I think it is a great reflection of the excellent service we provide to the community,” he said. “It is a credit to the doctors and nurses and all the other staff. The survey is a very useful indicator of the level of service we provide.”
“It is also an endorsement of the esteem the community holds our services in, and the high value they put on it. The results show we are a sustainable and valuable service and they are very pleasing for all concerned.”
