Moyne Health wins gold reporting gong
Moyne Health Services has received the top award at the Australasian Reporting Awards. A Gold Award for distinguished achievement was presented to Moyne Health Services for its 2008/09 Annual and Financial Report.Moyne Health Services CEO David Lee, board of management member Kerrie Robertson and finance and human resources manager Leigh Parker attended the awards dinner held at the Hilton in Sydney in early June. Moyne Health Services was one of hundreds of services that answered the Australian Reporting Awards’ call for submissions from across Australasia.
A judging panel then read each report submitted and chose which were good enough to receive awards.
At last year’s awards ceremony Moyne Health Services received a Silver Award for its 2007/08 report.
Mr Parker said Moyne Health Services was very proud of the reports it had submitted. “Our reports are very comprehensive and highlight our many achievements,” Mr Parker said. “But the report not only has our achievements, but also details the areas where we didn’t quite meet our goals.
“The reports have a good cross-section of information across the whole service including key areas like human resources, finances and our impact on the environment.”
The information in the Gold Award report was put together by Moyne Health Services staff. The Australasian Reporting Awards are assessed independently with health services compared to their peers.
Mr Parker said the Gold Award would help raise public awareness both locally and in the region about the standard of Moyne Health Services.
“These awards do give us the opportunity to promote our services in wider circles.
“A lot of the credit for such a great result goes to the wonderful staff we have here at Moyne health. Something like this does help to further enhance our reputation within the community.”
