Visitation Guidelines – Open letter to our community.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone for your support and understanding whilst we implement various levels of restrictions throughout 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged us all in ways that we could not have imagined prior to January this year. But throughout this challenging time, we have seen the staff of Moyne Health Services come together to deliver on our purpose of “Best Care – Every person, every time”.
Balancing the need for protection and prevention and aligning with the Department of Health and Human Services guidelines, our staff have maintained a careful focus on emotional care for our patients, our residents and for each other. With this in mind, effective 9 December 2020 we have implemented a number of changes to our visitation protocols. The following changes have been implemented.
In addition to the recent easing of visitation restrictions into our Aged Care homes (supporting visiting between 11am -4pm each day), we now have a separate visitors’ room which can be utilised for nominated visit times.
Appointments to use the visitors’ room will be between 11am to 4.00pm with visits up to 1 hour per family. If you would like to make an appointment to use the visitors’ room for a nominated time, please phone our main reception on (03) 5568 0100 between 10.00am to 3.00pm. Any weekend appointments must be received by 3.00pm on Fridays.
Please note: General visitation protocols still apply, therefore we would ask that anyone visiting MHS Aged Care homes follow the guidance of our staff.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to ensuring our residents, staff and community remain safe.
If you require further information in relation to visiting Moyne Health Services, please contact our main reception team on (03) 5568 0100.
